ArmInfo. The EU TUMO Convergence Center for Engineering and Applied Sciences (EUCC) will be constructed near Yerevan's Hrazdan Gorge, next to the Tumo Center. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the Center, as reported by the PM's office.
The 18,000 m2 building was designed by the world-renowned architectural firm MVRDV. The complex will include TUMO Labs with educational, engineering, and incubation programs, 42 Yerevan-the local branch of the French programming school-research and applied labs, collaboration and co-financing platforms, a conference center, and business facilities. The project is being implemented in line with the overall logic of the RA government's reforms to develop technological education in Armenia.
The program costs 42.5 million euros, of which 12.5 million is a grant provided by the EU to the Simonyan Educational Foundation under the EU4Innovation program signed between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union.
It is noted that the construction of the EUCC will contribute to strengthening Armenia's position as a technology and engineering hub. According to those responsible, this will result in the creation of a unique STEM center in the region, new opportunities for investment and business cooperation, and the provision of education and experience in line with international standards.
