ArmInfo. "I am pleased to announce that the first batch of high- performance artificial intelligence (GPU) equipment has already arrived in Armenia," Armenian Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan announced this on his Facebook page.
He noted that this is an important step toward implementing the Armenian government's "AI Factory Garden" concept and creating a next-generation AI data infrastructure in the country.
According to the minister, this milestone follows a strategic meeting held several months ago with the management of Eleveight AI, a company building an AI data center in Gagarin (Gegharkunik Province). During the meeting, expanding the high-performance AI infrastructure, as well as increasing the availability and affordability of these technologies, were identified as national priorities. "This infrastructure will attract local innovators, strengthen our computing power, and accelerate digital transformation in both the public and private sectors," Hayrapetyan wrote.
