
ArmInfo. Spot gas prices in Europe rose more than 20% on Monday morning on news surrounding Iran.
The price of gas for next-day delivery at the benchmark European TTF hub reached $472 per thousand cubic meters on Monday, compared to $387 on Friday.
In February, prices had been trending downwards from a local high of $500 in anticipation of spring weather.
The situation in the Persian Gulf could impact both gas supplies from Iran and liquefied natural gas exports from Qatar, one of the world's largest LNG suppliers. (INTERFAX)
