ArmInfo. The nationalization of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) will not be a major burden on the RA state budget, which is fortunate for the budget, but unfortunate for the company and critical infrastructure, as stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan while answering journalists' questions during a briefing.
He noted that this preliminary conclusion was reached during expert discussions on the company's market value. The Prime Minister clarified that the company had long been used for narrow personal goals. Furthermore, ENA is reportedly burdened with loan obligations, which were then redirected to close associates and relatives without interest. "According to preliminary estimates, all of this naturally reduces the market value of the enterprise and will not create serious issues for the budget," the head of government emphasized.
