Eurasian Economic Commission Council amends rules for determining  country of origin of certain goods

ArmInfo.  The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has amended the rules for determining the country of origin of certain goods to ensure access to public procurement in Eurasian Economic Union countries.

This was announced in a statement by the Commission. The amendment, as noted by the source, will allow businesses to include 31 new product names in the  Eurasian Register of Industrial Goods, including pesticides, fuel  additives, special types of polyethylene, epoxy and alkyd resins,  generator sets, point-of-sale terminals, computers, and monitors.

To ensure national treatment, the rules include a mechanism for  advance notification of the Commission and member states of changes  to national legislation regarding confirmation of the country of  origin of goods for public procurement purposes. The Eurasian  Register of Industrial Goods is maintained to ensure access to public  procurement by EAEU countries that have established preferences,  restrictions, and prohibitions with respect to goods from other  member states and/or third countries.
