This is the second working visit of European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos to our country in the last six months has visited Yerevan, which is a vivid testimony to the expanding partnership between Armenia and the European Union, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan at a joint briefing with Kos on March 19.
According to him, this visit is significant in terms of deepening cooperation between Armenia and the EU in all directions, taking into account also the fact that it takes place ahead of the upcoming European Political Community and EU-Armenia summits to be held in Yerevan. Grigoryan noted that during Kos's visit, all reforms consistent with Yerevan's commitments under the Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement were discussed in detail.
"In order to increase the effectiveness of the reform process, make their results more accessible to our citizens, we signed a short while ago the 2025-2027 funding agreement under the Resilience and Growth Plan, whereby we set out ambitious measures; in particular, in the key domains of export diversification, visa liberalization, and public finance management."
The Deputy Prime Minister added that the talks focused on regional connectivity, and in this context, they agreed to continue work on the implementation of the government's 'Crossroads of Peace' initiative, the TRIPP route, and the EU's interregional connectivity; in particular, the Global Gateway strategy.
The EU reaffirmed its commitment to Armenia's integration into European structures.
