ArmInfo. The road from Georgia to Russia through the Upper Lars checkpoint is closed to heavy trucks. The Georgian Roads Department reported this.
"The movement of vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers is temporarily prohibited on the Gudauri-Kobi section of the Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars international highway," the statement reads.
As a reminder, this route is the only overland route connecting Armenia with Russia via Georgia.
