Armenia, Hungary discuss opportunities to boost tourism between their  countries

ArmInfo. The Chairperson of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, Lusine Gevorgyan, received the  Head of Mission of Hungary in Armenia, Alexandra Chizmadiya, and the Trade Attache of the Embassy, Peter Tarcha, at the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia.

According to the press service of the Tourism Committee of Armenia,   the parties discussed ongoing programs in the tourism sector and  explored opportunities for bilateral cooperation. The importance of  direct flights between the two countries was also highlighted as a  key factor in boosting tourist flows.

The parties exchanged statistics on tourist visits and emphasized the  need for targeted initiatives to further develop the sector.

The upcoming Global Medical Tourism Congress, to be held in Armenia  on September 16-18, 2026, in close cooperation with UN Tourism, was  also presented, with special emphasis on the importance of Hungarian  participation.
