Armenia to extend mandatory health insurance to e-taxi drivers by  2027

ArmInfo. The Armenian government has approved amendments to the Law on Universal Health Insurance, expanding the pool of beneficiaries to include taxi  drivers operating via electronic platforms. The decision was  finalized during a cabinet session on April 2.

 As RA Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan noted in her speech, that  starting January 2027, beneficiaries will have the option to include  "interconnected persons" (family members/dependents) in the insurance  program. The Minister emphasized that despite the mandatory nature of  the health insurance system, the Ministry would like to see it viewed  as a desirable service by the public According to the amendments, the  deadline for individual entrepreneurs to begin their medical policy  payments has been pushed back from April 20 to June 20.
