
ArmInfo. Qatar is interested in investment cooperation with Armenia in the tourism sector. This was stated by Qatar's Ambassador to Armenia, Mansour Abdullah Al- Sulaiti, during a meeting with Lusine Gevorgyan, Head of the Armenian Tourism Committee.
According to the press service of the department, the parties discussed prospects for strengthening and developing tourism ties between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of implementing measures aimed at promoting tourism potential and developing business contacts in both countries.
They exchanged statistical information and the latest industry trends. They paid special attention to legislative reforms in Armenia's tourism sector, digitalization processes, key events planned for the current year, and opportunities for cooperation within these frameworks.
The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in the near future, including through the implementation of joint initiatives. It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Committee, only 282 tourists from Qatar visited Armenia in 2025, which is 5.1% lower than the same period last year.
