
ArmInfo.Armenia's metallurgical industry increased production by an average of 15.1% year-on-year in January-February 2026 (compared to a 26% decline a year ago). According to data from the Statistical Committee, all metallurgical products produced in the country saw an increase in volume, except for ferromolybdenum.
Specifically, ferromolybdenum production accelerated from a year-on-year decline of 31.2% to 54%, reaching 246.1 tons. Meanwhile, production of copper concentrate, the dominant
Molybdenum concentrate production in the country also reversed its year-on-year trend, from a 34.9% decline to a 26.5% increase, reaching 2,353.2 tons. Aluminum foil production recovered from a 4.3% decline to a 5.2% increase, reaching 3,186 tons. Zinc concentrate production slowed slightly in year-on- year growth, from 20.8% to 18.4%, reaching 2,300 tons. Production of steel pipes, hollow sections, and fittings accelerated in year-on-year growth, from 9.6% to 22.9%, reaching 4,360.2 tons. All metals produced in Armenia are exported, mainly to Europe and the US.
