
ArmInfo. The Central Bank of Armenia is currently participating in the 2026 IMF-WB Spring Meetings in Washington. According to the Central Bank of Armenia, the event began on April 13 and will continue until April 18. Deputy Governors Armen Nurbekyan and Hovhannes Khachatryan are representing the Central Bank at the event.
During the visit, the Armenian delegation, which also included Deputy Finance Minister Edgar Mkrtchyan, held meetings with IMF representatives. In particular, macroeconomic developments, policy priorities, and ongoing cooperation were discussed with Alexander F. Timan, head of the IMF mission to Armenia. Additionally, a meeting was held with IMF representatives Yara Gilchrist and Antonio Manzanera, to discuss the development of the financial sector, regulatory frameworks, and current challenges related to financial innovation.
The meetings provided an opportunity to address important issues with international partners and strengthen cooperation aimed at ensuring macroeconomic and financial stability.
