Pashinyan: Armenia developing support program to increase  economic  activity among pensioners

ArmInfo.  One-way air tickets from Gyumri to Larnaca are currently available at ticket offices for 2 euros, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on  April 15 during a government hour in the National Assembly, when  speaking about the health insurance scheme that pensioners in the  country have begun to use en masse.

According to the Prime Minister, this means that pensioners can visit  Larnaca for just 90 drams, meaning they can use their pensions to fly  to Greek resorts. Moreover, as Pashinyan noted, the issue is not so  much about new financial issues, but about the new opportunities that  are being created. The Prime Minister emphasized that the minimum  consumer basket requirement doesn't mean that the process has stopped  once it's exceeded. There are also inflationary factors unrelated to  domestic problems. Pashinyan believes that 63 is the best age not for  retirement, but for starting a small business. A universal health  insurance system is in place to ensure their health, while pensions  should not be less than the minimum consumer basket requirement.

The Prime Minister pointed to the assistance program being developed  by the Armenian government, aimed at economically activating  pensioners, who will be encouraged to engage in small businesses. 63  is the best age for this, the head of government noted.
