ArmInfo. Armenia's ruling Civil Contract Party promises 6% annual average GDP growth if it wins the June 7 parliamentary elections. This was announced by party  leader and RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a video message on  Facebook.

According to him, in the government program for 2021-2026, the ruling  party promised to ensure 7% annual average economic growth, which it  has achieved. Armenia's average GDP growth over this period was 7.6%.  From 2018 to 2025, the country's real

GDP increased by 53%. According to the program proposed to voters,  the Prime Minister noted that industrial production is planned to  increase by 50% over the next five years, from the current 3.3  trillion drams to 5 trillion drams. Industrial development will be  supported by various assistance programs, particularly in the  processing industry. It is also planned to increase the share of  small and medium-sized businesses in GDP to 40% over five years,  compared to the current 34.3%. SME development is envisaged through  increased efficiency and modernization.

The Prime Minister noted that the election program envisages  enrolling the entire country's population in the mandatory health  insurance system by 2028.

Pashinyan also noted the involvement of TRIPP infrastructure,  including the construction of a railway and power lines. Pashinyan  noted that work on the ground in this area will begin as early as  2026. "In my opinion, the most immediate step will be the  commissioning of power lines. The implementation of this program will  create numerous jobs," the Prime Minister noted, also pointing to the  project to reconstruct and reactivate the Gyumri-Turkey and  Yeraskh-Nakhichevan railways, which will be completed within 1.5  years.

Pashinyan also pointed to the construction of a second terminal at  Zvartnots Airport, which will significantly increase the airport's  capacity by 2033. Construction of the second terminal can no longer  be delayed, as the airport currently experiences crowds comparable to  those seen on the streets of Yerevan during rush hour. There are also  plans to modernize Syunik Airport, granting it international status.  This process has already begun.

Pashinyan also touched on the project to build four tunnels,  including the Kajaran, Dilijan, and Bargushat tunnels, and the  redevelopment of the Pushkin Tunnel. All of these projects are  scheduled to be commissioned by 2033. Funds will also be allocated to  fundamentally address the road issues in Yerevan.  As part of the  program, the prime minister noted, it is planned to double the volume  of domestically produced goods exported to $8.9 billion. Furthermore,  modern technological solutions will be implemented on 8,000 hectares  of land. The government will support the creation of 25 refrigeration  facilities.  Construction of 10 reservoirs will begin, scheduled for  commissioning in 2033. As part of these projects, 350 km of water  pipelines will be repaired and built.

As part of the program, a new national stadium with a capacity of  35,000 spectators will be built in Akademgorodok, as well as two more  stadiums in Vanadzor and Ijevan. Each of these sports facilities will  be able to accommodate 10,000 spectators. The country's authorities  also want to increase the number of tourists to 3 million per year.

Regarding the national debt, Pashinyan noted that it is at an average  level and not at risk.

The Prime Minister added that a final decision on the new nuclear  power unit project should be made by the end of 2027. By that time, a  signed memorandum should be in place regarding the partner and the  type of unit to be built in the country. In parallel, work will  continue to extend the service life of Unit 2 of the Armenian Nuclear  Power Plant until 2036. This work has already begun and will be  successfully completed.
