
ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan today received a delegation led by Elisabetta Falcetti, Executive Director for Turkey and the Caucasus at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress of joint programs. In particular, they touched upon the North-South Transport Corridor construction program, as well as projects in the water and transport sectors. The parties also touched upon the Kotayk and Gegharkunik Solid Waste Management program, which is already operational. In this regard, Khudatyan and Falcetti explored the possibility of implementing this model in other regions of the country. According to the ministry's press service, during the meeting, the minister emphasized the importance of effective cooperation with the EBRD, which is largely aimed at improving infrastructure in Armenia.
It should be noted that, according to its September forecast, the EBRD expects Armenia's GDP growth to reach 4.5% by the end of 2026.
Since its operations in Armenia in 1992, the Bank has invested over EUR 2.5 billion in 231 projects in the country.
