
ArmInfo. According to the latest data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, the country's beverage industry saw a broad recovery in the first quarter of 2026. Nearly all domestic alcoholic beverages recorded growth, marking a significant departure from the steep declines seen a year prior.
Specifically, cognac production increased from a 39.4% decline to a 9% increase, reaching 3.5 million liters. Wine production increased from a 36.3% decline to a 26.7% increase, reaching 1.7 million liters. Sparkling wine (champagne) increased from a 23.3% decline to a 5.8% increase, reaching 238.6 thousand liters. Beer production accelerated from 3.6% to 42.1%, reaching 6.3 million liters. Meanwhile, production of vodka, liqueur, and other spirits, reached 204.9 thousand liters, continuing to decline, although at a slower rate of 4.3%, compared to the previous 30.7%. Whiskey production, reaching 475.7 thousand liters, saw a decline of 24.9%, compared to the previous year's 2.7-fold increase.
