ArmInfo. Turkey is amending its legislation to officially include Armenia in its list of authorized import destinations for Turkish products, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the election campaign in the Shengavit district of Yerevan, while provided context to an exchange with Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
Earlier, media microphones captured Mirzoyan whispering to the Prime Minister that "the Turks are opening [it] today."
According to the Prime Minister, Turkish trade regulations previously prohibited the direct listing of "Armenia" as the final destination for exported goods. Consequently, Turkish products intended for the Armenian market had to be documented through third countries before being delivered to Yerevan. Now, a change is being introduced to Turkish legislation that will include Armenia in the list of importing countries for Turkish products.
