Positive migration net balance recorded in Armenia for Q1 2026

ArmInfo.  Armenia has recorded a positive migration balance of 2,500 people in Q1 2026.  According to data provided by the Statistical Committee of the  Republic of Armenia, this figure represents a 48% decrease compared  to the same period last year.  According to the source, 974,200  citizens entered Armenia from abroad during the reporting period, a  2.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Meanwhile,  966,400 citizens left the country, reflecting a year-on-year growth  of 0.8%.

As a result, a positive border crossing balance (entry and exit  balance) of 7,771 people was recorded.  (compared to a negative  balance of 6,570 thousand people a year ago).  Moreover, in Q1 2026,  411,600 Armenian citizens entered Armenia (a 6.1% year-on-year  decline), while 392,000 departed (a 8.7% year-on-year decline). Thus,  the positive cross-border  balance for RA citizens stood at 19,629  people, which is 2.2 times higher than the figure from the previous  year.

In Q1 2026, Armenia welcomed 453,138 tourists visited Armenia, which  marks a 17.2% increase compared to Q1 2025.
