
ArmInfo. Armenian Deputy Minister of Finance Edgar Mkrtchyan received a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) led by Deputy Executive Director Llewellyn Roberts.
During the meeting, the parties discussed both ongoing ADB programs in Armenia and projects planned for the near future. Particular attention was paid to the launch of the third program, "Fiscal Sustainability and Financial Market Development," aimed at deepening economic and fiscal reforms in the country, as well as the details of the new third program to improve seismic safety.
Mkrtchyan underscored the importance of productive cooperation with the ADB, as well as the bank's professional consultations and technical support within the framework of ongoing reforms, serving as a "knowledge bank." Following the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia's economic resilience and advancing its strategic development agenda.
Recall, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is one of Armenia's largest and most strategically significant partners. The cooperation began in 2005, and since then, the Bank has invested over $2.5 billion in the country. ADB serves not only as a lender but also as a ' knowledge bank", providing professional advice and technical support for ongoing reforms. According to the latest estimates, the Bank expects Armenia's economy to grow by 4.7% in 2026.
