Germany and Armenia discuss opportunities to stimulate mutual tourist  flow

ArmInfo.  Armenian Ambassador to Germany Viktor Yengibaryan and Chair of the Bundestag Tourism Committee Anja Karliczek discussed the strategic partnership between Germany and Armenia, prospects for rapprochement between Armenia and the European Union, and issues related to the tourism sector.

"We were pleased to note that there are currently direct flights from  seven German cities to Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan:  Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Dortmund, Memmingen, Dusseldorf, and  Frankfurt. We agreed to take active steps in the near future to  further increase tourist flow between our countries," Yengibaryan  wrote in a post on his Facebook page.

According to data from the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of  Economy of Armenia, 172,705 tourists visited Armenia in April 2026.  During the same period last year, the number of tourist visits  amounted to 123,705 people, an increase of over 28%. In April 2026,  the largest number of tourist visits to Armenia were from Russia  (36%), Georgia (14%), and Iran (7%).
