ArmInfo. An official ceremony was held at the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia to mark the opening of the Centralized Monitoring Center and the launch of the CertScan program.
According to the agency's press service, the implementation of the new platform will significantly enhance border security, facilitating more effective identification of potential risks and security threats. At the same time, according to the source, corruption risks will be reduced by increasing the transparency of customs control processes, promoting legitimate trade, and ensuring the seamless movement of goods across Armenia's borders. It is also noted that during the project's implementation, special attention was paid to the application and integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning elements into the customs system.
CertScan is a cutting-edge integration software platform developed by S2 Global, designed for the automation, analysis, and centralized management of X-ray scanning inspection systems. The program has been integrated into Armenia's customs system since the beginning of 2026. The initiative is being implemented with the support of the United States under the Export Control and Border Security (EXBS) program, which allocated a $3.5 million grant for the platform's deployment.
