ArmInfo. Laboratory analysis has revealed no deviations from safety or quality standards in "Jermuk" mineral water products. This information was confirmed to ArmInfo by Anush Harutyunyan, Press Secretary of the Food Safety Inspection Body (FSIB) of Armenia. She noted that following the sampling and analysis of the "Jermuk" products, the concentrations of hydrocarbornates, sulfates, and chloride ions were found to fully comply with the standards established by the technical regulations of the Customs Union.
At the same time, Harutyunyan reported that the results of joint inspections conducted from May 21 to May 27 alongside Russian counterparts at Armenian plant cultivation and fish farming enterprises are not yet available.
Recall, effective May 28, Rospotrebnadzor, suspended the sale of 64.5 million units of "Jermuk" natural sparkling medicinal-table mineral water within the Russian Federation. The suspension was ordered on the grounds of the manufacturer's non-compliance with mandatory technical regulation laws. According to the Russian agency, the water exhibited elevated levels of hydrocarbonate ions, chlorides, and sulfates. Furthermore, effective May 30, Rosselkhoznadzor, is introducing temporary restrictions on the import of fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, leafy greens, and strawberries originating from or shipped from Armenia due to detected violations. The agency explained that the agricultural products supplied by Armenia failed to meet EAEU and Russian sanitary standards.
