ArmInfo. Armenia's metallurgical industry expanded its production volumes by 33% year-on-year in January–April 2026 (compared to a 23% decline during the same period last year), as evidenced by data from the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia. Specifically, the production of copper concentrate in Armenia reversed its year-on-year dynamic, shifting from a 27.6% downturn to a 38% growth, totaling 105,000 tons.
Zinc concentrate production sustained its growth, though its year-on-year pace slowed from 17.2% to 8.6%, yielding a total volume of 4,300 tons. The volume of molybdenum concentrate produced in the country accelerated in year-on-year growth from 24% to 37.1%, reaching 5,800 tons.
The production of steel tubes, hollow profiles, and pipe fittings also accelerated significantly, with its year- on-year growth rising from 6.3% to 39.6%, totaling 10,100 tons. In contrast, the output of ferromolybdenum remained trapped in a slump, with its year-on-year decline accelerating from 33.2% to 56.6%, dropping to 458.7 tons.
The downturn in aluminum foil production slowed from 2.2% to 0.7%, yielding an output volume of 6,400 tons. All metals produced in Armenia are exported, primarily to Europe and the United States.
