Wine and cognac production in Armenia shifts to growth

ArmInfo.  The volumes of all alcoholic beverages produced in Armenia, except whiskey, vodka, and liqueur, have increased. Specifically, wine production in Armenia  increased by 20.6% from January to April 2026 (compared to a 38.8%  decline a year ago), reaching 2.2 million liters. Meanwhile,  sparkling wine (champagne) production increased by 7.2% year-on-year  (versus a 28% decline) to 303,700 liters.

Cognac production also increased. Specifically, cognac production  increased by 5.8% during the reporting period (versus a 32.3% decline  a year ago), reaching 4.7 million liters. Beer production accelerated  sharply, growing from 4.7% to 33.5%, reaching 9.3 million liters.

Vodka, liqueur, and other spirits production declined more  significantly than a year ago, accelerating from 7% to 27.1%,  reaching 314.2 thousand liters. Whiskey production also began to  decline, falling by 21.6% (versus a 76.7% increase a year ago),  reaching 653.7 thousand liters.
