Under new export subsidy program, supply volumes steadily increasing  - Gevorg Papoyan

ArmInfo.Under the government's new program to subsidize customs duties and transportation costs for the export of Armenian greenhouse products, supply volumes are steadily increasing. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan  announced this on June 11, speaking in Parliament.

Without naming the export volume, he noted that Armenian products  have already entered the markets of Greece, Ukraine, Georgia,  Kazakhstan, and elsewhere.

"This is an ongoing process, and we expect even greater volumes. The  program has no tonnage restrictions.  We will subsidize as many  supplies as we can. And the volumes are growing every day," the  Minister of Economy said.

He also announced a new program that provides the same subsidies for  customs duties and transportation costs for fresh agricultural  produce, but for produce grown outdoors, not in greenhouses.

He also recalled the zero-interest agricultural lending program  launched in April of this year, which has already benefited 14,000  farmers. The program's total loan portfolio amounts to 21 billion  drams.

According to the RA Statistics Committee, Armenia's foreign trade  turnover with EU countries in January- April 2026 amounted to $1.058  billion, representing a 45.2% year-on-year increase. Exports  increased by 97.3% to $355.7 million, while imports grew by 28% to  $702.9 million.
