ArmInfo. As of tomorrow, July 10, the "Araratcement" plant will return to full-scale operations, according to Deputy Minister of Economy of Armenia, Edgar Zakaryan.
Zakaryan, who arrived at the facility to hold discussions with management, announced that the negotiations were productive. He stated that minor technical issues are currently being addressed and will be resolved within a few hours, allowing the plant to transition back to a normal production cycle starting tomorrow.
"Legal processes are currently underway, and we came to understand whether we can ensure that these legal processes do not interfere with production, and whether we can create such configurations for this," Zakaryan said, noting that negotiations with plant management and law enforcement officials had been ongoing for several days. Emphasizing the plant's significance, Zakaryan stated, "This is a strategically important facility, and we will do everything possible to ensure its operations are not disrupted." He added that, due to timely interventions, the plant did not suffer significant financial losses during the four-day shutdown.
It should be noted that hundreds of employees gathered at the plant today to protest the four-day closure, which followed investigative actions initiated on July 6. Workers had expressed deep concerns regarding their inability to meet monthly credit obligations and uncertainty regarding their wages while the facility remained sealed.
