ArmInfo. The German team in Armenia supports family businesses in processing agricultural products to increase exports and employment. This was reported by the press service of the German Embassy in Armenia.
The diplomatic mission stated that the German Ambassador to Armenia, Claudia Busch, recently visited a company that processes local fruits into high-quality dried fruits for export to international markets.
"With Germany's support, the company acquired an automated fruit washing line. Together with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), the company plans to hire an additional 65 employees, many of whom are displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh," the statement said.
It is emphasized that Armenian companies can receive expansion loans from the German-Armenian Fund through the German Reconstruction Credit Bank (KfW). "Thus, support for medium-sized enterprises and the integration of vulnerable population groups are combined for a better future of rural communities in Armenia," the German Embassy concluded.
