Tsaghkadzor hotel under investigation for evading over AMD 78 mln in  taxes — SRC

ArmInfo.  Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) has uncovered a major tax evasion scheme involving a hotel and restaurant complex operating in the resort town  of Tsaghkadzor, which allegedly failed to pay approximately 78.4  million drams in taxes.

According to the SRC press service, intelligence indicated that the  company was systematically concealing its actual sales turnover and  underreporting employee salary funds. Comprehensive operational and  investigative measures revealed that between 2023 and 2026, the  company submitted heavily distorted data to tax authorities.

Specifically, while the company reported approximately 190.2 million  drams in employee salary funds for the 2023–2026 period, actual  payroll data obtained through investigations exceeded 340.4 million  drams.  Additionally, investigators established that the company's  actual catering turnover from January 1 to June 15, 2026, totaled  roughly 237.5 million drams, whereas reported taxable revenue for the  same period stood at only about 136.5 million drams.

Based on the findings, the SRC transmitted a report detailing the  apparent criminal offense to the Main Directorate for the  Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling under the  Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where criminal  proceedings have been formally initiated.
