According to the source, economic activity in Armenia grew by 7.7% year-on-year in January-July 2026, following 7.9% year-on-year in January-June. Services (+13.2% year-on-year) made the main contribution, while high growth rates were also observed in construction (+25.0%) and industry (+9.5%).
The services sector grew thanks to IT and industries associated with strong tourism. Construction was supported by robust growth in mortgage lending. "We expect high economic activity to continue in 2026 due to internal sources of growth," the EDB said in a statement.
