ArmInfo. In 2025, Armenia reduced aluminum foil exports by 5.2% (compared to a 20% decline in 2024), reaching 19.2 thousand tons. Meanwhile, the customs value of exported aluminum foil increased by 20.8% to $82.8 million.
According to data from the RA Customs Service, the largest export volumes went to Germany (67.5%) and Poland (10.2%), followed by the Netherlands (9.9%), Russia (4.8%), Spain (2.5%), France (1.4%), Italy (1.2%), Greece (1.2%), and the Czech Republic (1%). Much smaller volumes were exported to Georgia, Portugal, and Moldova. Armenia exported less than 1 ton to Belarus, Bulgaria, and the UAE.
Meanwhile, imported foil volumes increased by 37.7%, reaching 2,700 tons, with a customs value increase of 60.3% to $14.3 million.
Foil was imported primarily from Greece (70.5%), Russia (13%), China (9.8%), the UAE (2.6%), and Italy (1.8%). The remaining volume was distributed among Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Italy, Germany, Turkey, and France. Armenia imported even smaller volumes from the Netherlands, Romania, India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Spain, the Czech Republic, and Thailand. According to the RA Statistics Committee, aluminum foil production in Armenia increased by 4.6% in 2025, reaching 20.6 thousand tons.
It is worth noting that the Armenal plant was the only exporter of foil in Armenia.
