ArmInfo. In 2025, Armenia slightly reduced its natural gas imports by 0.8% (versus a 0.1% increase the year before) to 2,706,771.9 cubic meters, with a 0.5% decrease in customs value to $470 million. According to data from the RA Customs Service, Russia and Iran were Armenia's main import markets during the reporting year.
In particular, traditionally, the lion's share - 82.4% (versus 83.8% in 2024) or 2,229,697.4 cubic meters of natural gas were supplied to Armenia from Russia, with an annual decline of 2.6%. The customs value decreased by 2.2% to $389 million.
The remaining volume—477,074.5 cubic meters—was supplied from Iran, with an 8.5% year-on-year increase. At the same time, the customs value increased by 8.6% to $80.8 million.
According to the source, liquefied gas supplies increased by 29.7% during the reporting year (versus a 53.6% increase in 2024), reaching 284.1 thousand tons, with a customs value increase of 26.8% to $107.1 million.
As with natural gas, the bulk of liquefied gas imports came from Russia - 94.6% (versus 96% in 2024), or 268.8 thousand tons, with an annual increase of 28%, with a customs value increase of 23.4% to $99.6 million.
Armenia also imported liquefied gas from Iran - 3.7% or 10.5 thousand tons, a 36.7% year-on-year increase, with a 60.7% increase in customs value to $5.2 million.
Iraqi liquefied gas accounted for 1.3%, or 3.6 thousand tons, significantly exceeding the 2024 volume by 3.1 times, with a significant 4.5-fold increase in customs value to $1.8 million.
Armenia also imported liquefied gas from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, China, Turkey, Germany, and the Republic of Korea.
