ArmInfo. Armenia increased its automobile imports by 56.6% in 2025 (compared to a 63% decline in 2024) to 50,300 units. The customs value increased by 25.4% to $652.3 million, according to data from the RA Customs Service.
The main import markets for Armenia were the United States and Mexico (27% each), followed by China (22.6%), Japan (6.8%), Korea (6.5%), and Germany (3.4%). Cars were also imported from the United Kingdom, Canada, Italy, Austria, India, the Russian Federation, the Arab Republic of Syria, Belgium, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa, Sweden, Turkey, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Ireland, Poland, and the Czech Republic.
Meanwhile, Armenia reduced its car exports by 55% (compared to a significant decline in 2024) to 371 units, with a 32.8% decrease in customs value to $30.2 million.
According to customs data, 44.2% of car exports went to the Georgian market, 23.4% to Russia, and 15.3% to the UAE. A very small number of cars were exported to the United States, Kazakhstan, Montenegro, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
