ArmInfo. Imports of petroleum products into Armenia in H1 2026 decreased by 34.8% year-on-year (compared to 9.2% growth a year earlier), amounting to 159.1 thousand tons. At the same time, the customs value decreased by 17.6% to $189.8 million. This is evidenced by data from the RA Customs Service.
Petroleum products were imported from Turkey (24.3%), Russia (21.9%), Iran (20.7%), Azerbaijan (9.1%), Georgia (7%), Israel (6.3%), Belarus (3.7%), Romania (1.8%), as well as from the UAE, Bulgaria, Belgium, Germany, Egypt, Thailand, India, Japan, Malaysia, the United Kingdom, the USA, Spain, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, the Republic of Korea, Greece, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Ukraine, China, Singapore, France, and Finland. Less than 1 ton was supplied from Serbia, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Canada, Taiwan, Austria, and Denmark.
Exports of petroleum products decreased by 77.5% year-on-year (compared to 2.7% growth a year earlier), amounting to 6 tons, while the customs value increased by 5.3% to $207.1 thousand. The main volume (93.3%) went to Russia, while extremely insignificant supplies were sent to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Italy, Cambodia, and Georgia.
It should be noted that, according to data from the RA Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, in accordance with the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Russian Federation dated December 2, 2013, on cooperation in the supply of natural gas, petroleum products, and uncut natural diamonds, as well as according to the indicative balances signed between the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia and the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, in H1 2026, supplies of motor gasoline from the Russian Federation to the RA are planned in the amount of 16,194?6 tons, and diesel fuel — 30,958?8 tons.
