ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan met with Montenegrin Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordić.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Economy, the parties discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation between Armenia and Montenegro in tourism, increasing mutual tourist flows, and developing new destinations.
They identified agrotourism as a promising area. In this context, Minister Papoyan emphasized the importance of studying and sharing Montenegro's experience.
The parties also discussed a number of other issues of mutual interest, touching on prospects for developing cooperation and developing new opportunities.
Gevorg Papoyan noted that Armenia continues to take steps to intensify international passenger transportation and improve the country's accessibility. At the same time, he said, investments are being made in developing tourism infrastructure.
It should be noted that, according to the Statistics Committee, 99 tourists from Montenegro visited Armenia in January-June 2026, a 29.3% decrease from the same period last year.
