ArmInfo. The Ministry of Finance of Armenia has presented information on the execution of the country's state budget for January-August 2026.
According to the source, state budget revenues amounted to 2.137 trillion drams in January-August 2026. Compared with the same period last year, state budget revenues increased by 14.4%, or 268.5 billion drams.
In January-August 2026, expenditures of the state budget of the Republic of Armenia amounted to 2.119 trillion drams. Compared with the same period last year, state budget expenditures increased by 9.9%, or 190.2 billion drams.
From January to August 2026, the state budget was executed with a surplus of 17.7 billion drams, compared with a deficit of 60.7 billion drams in the same period of the previous year.
It should be recalled that Armenia's state budget for 2026 was approved with revenues of 3 trillion 91 billion drams (an 8.9% increase compared with 2025) and expenditures of 3 trillion 628 billion drams, of which allocations for current expenditures will amount to 2 trillion 924 billion drams, and for capital expenditures - 704 billion drams (5.9% of GDP). The budget deficit is projected at 537 billion drams, which amounts to 4.5% of GDP (compared with 5.5% in 2025).
