ArmInfo. David Ivanyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of Armenia, is participating in a special high-level meeting on interregional transport connectivity.
The event is taking place from September 23 to 25 as part of the 39th session of the Working Party on Transport Trends and Economics (WP.5) of the Inland Transport Committee of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), held at the UN Palais des Nations in Geneva.
According to the press service of the Ministry, Ivanyan delivered a report on "Connecting Regions: Priorities for International and Interregional Transport Connectivity" during the high-level dialogue. He presented Armenia's steps in this direction, in particular, joining the e-CMR protocol in 2024 and preparing for pilot shipments using the electronic consignment note, studying the possibility of introducing the eTIR system, the work of the transport.e-gov.am platform, which operates on the single-window principle, as well as the transition to an electronic format for managing permits for international transportation.
