ArmInfo. A meeting was held between RA Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan and an EBRD delegation led by Elisabetta Falchetti, the Bank's Executive Director for Turkey and the Caucasus.
As reported by the government press service, welcoming the EBRD representatives, Tigran Khachatryan spoke in detail about the priorities and goals set forth in the government's program for 2026-2031. In this context, the interlocutors praised the alignment of the cooperation framework established with the EBRD with the goals of the government's program. In particular, the importance of continuing bilateral cooperation in modernizing road and water infrastructure, solid waste management, constructing logistics centers, and implementing initiatives aimed at developing the private sector was emphasized.
As a reminder, Armenia joined the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development on December 7, 1992. The Bank's cumulative investment in Armenia reached €2.8 billion through 242 projects by the end of 2025, with annual investments reaching a record €426 million in 2025. Approximately 85% of investments are directed toward the private sector, the green economy, infrastructure, and support for small and medium-sized businesses. -0-
At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual commitment to continue working together to deepen existing areas of cooperation and implement new initiatives.
