During the meeting, which took place as part of the first review of the IMF program, the parties discussed current trends and priorities in the financial and economic sphere.
They also touched upon current economic processes in Armenia, prospects and existing risks, capital inflow trends, the dynamics of bank lending and the deposit market, interest rates on borrowed funds and loans, as well as the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Armenia and sectoral regulation.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of maintaining the stability of the financial system and continuing dialogue with international partners.
As a reminder, the IMF, having updated its forecast in June, did not change its expectations for Armenia's GDP growth, predicting a slowdown in 2026 to 5.3% with an imperceptible decline. accelerating to 5.5% in 2027.
