This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistics Committee.

The improvement in the annual dynamics of the industrial sector is due to the resumption of growth in both the mining and manufacturing industries.

In particular, the mining sector grew by 24.3% year-on-year from January to August (versus a 0.8% decline a year ago), achieving a volume of

489.7 billion drams. Moreover, in August alone, the volume of the mining sector

increased by 6.3% to 67.6 billion drams.

The manufacturing industry also improved its annual dynamics, recovering from a 13.2% decline to a 5% growth rate, achieving a volume of

over 1.3 trillion drams. However, in just one month, production volumes fell by 0.8% to 177.2 billion drams.

At the same time, high annual growth rates were demonstrated by chemical production (80.4%), furniture (58.8%), and finished metal products (43.2%). Meanwhile, double-digit growth was recorded in pharmaceutical production (18.8%), beverages (14.4%), and basic metals (10.9%). It is noteworthy that the jewelry industry saw a 0.5% increase in January-August, with a strong 31.9% growth in August alone. A year ago, both January-August and August alone saw equally significant declines of 60.9-60.7%.

The most significant declines were in machinery and equipment production.

- by 52.1%, coke and other refined petroleum products - by 29.1%, and in the printing segment - by 10.4%.

In the manufacturing sector, the traditional leaders in terms of production volumes are food products (406.3 billion drams), basic metals (186.8 billion), cigarettes (179.6 billion), and beverage production (145.97 billion).

According to According to statistics, supplies of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning in January-August 2026 amounted to 256.7 billion drams with an annual decline of 1.9% (versus 13.2% growth a year ago), with growth in August of 8.5% (versus 4% decline in the same month of 2025) - to 29.4 billion drams. Moreover, electricity generation, transmission, and distribution decreased by 4.8% year-on-year in January-August (compared to 15.3% growth a year ago), while gas production and distribution through gas supply systems accelerated to 14.6% (from 2.7% a year ago).

Revenues from water supply, waste treatment and processing, and recycling accelerated year-on-year from 1.5% to 2.9% in January-August, reaching 21.8 billion drams. In August alone, this figure increased by 12.6% (compared to 5% growth in the same month in 2025), reaching 3.2 billion drams. Moreover, the upward annual trend is driven by accelerated growth from 2-4% to 3.5-6.2% in the water supply and wastewater collection/treatment segments, while the waste treatment/treatment and secondary raw materials segment continued to decline by 4%.

Note that the average exchange rate of the dram against the US dollar in January-August 2026 was 372.29 drams/$1, and in August, 365.48 drams/$1.
