Production of wine, cognac, beer and soft drinks in Armenia is growing at double-digit rates.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, from January to August 2026, the volumes of virtually all alcoholic beverages produced in the country increased, with the exception of vodka, liqueur, and whiskey. This is evidenced by data from the RA Statistics Committee, according to which growth was also recorded in the production of soft drinks.

In particular, the annual dynamics of wine production improved from a 31.6% decline to a 23.4% increase, reaching 4.9 million liters. Sparkling wine (champagne) volumes also increased by 12.9% (versus a meager 0.3% growth a year ago), reaching 694,400 liters.

Cognac volumes reached 9.6 million liters, also showing a 14.3% year-on-year increase from a 34.4% decline.

Beer production volumes reached 27.4 million liters, accelerating from 11.9% to 18.4% year-on-year.

At the same time, vodka, liqueur, and other spirits production began to decline, down 25.1% year-on-year (versus 29.2% growth a year ago), reaching 818,900 liters.

Whiskey production continued to decline, accelerating from 9.3% to 47.1%, exceeding 1.3 million liters.

At the same time, soft drink production volumes continue to grow at a faster annual rate: mineral and carbonated water (unsweetened) - from 5.8% to 8.6%, amounting to 41.35 million liters; still spring water - from 8.6% to 22.3%, amounting to 64.14 million liters; other soft drinks - from 3.5% to 16.5%, amounting to 116.14 million liters.
