ArmInfo. The Armenian insurance company "LIGA Insurance" took part in the annual international conference of GRAWE Group, which was held in the city of Postojna (Slovenia). At the event, the company was officially introduced to its international partners as a new full member of this prestigious international financial group.
The annual summit brought together top managers and key representatives of GRAWE Group subsidiaries specializing in insurance, banking, and property management worldwide.
The 2026 conference focused on the following key topics: Defining global development vectors and summarizing the group's financial performance, integrating advanced technologies and implementing artificial intelligence into traditional business processes, analyzing macroeconomic changes in global markets, and improving corporate governance and management competencies.
According to the company's announcement, joining the GRAWE Group's international professional ecosystem opens up fundamentally new opportunities for LIGA Insurance. The integration will allow the company to actively exchange experiences with European colleagues and adapt best EU insurance practices to the specifics, individual needs, and standards of the Armenian insurance market.
This event marks the beginning of a qualitatively new stage in the strategic development of LIGA Insurance. The synergy of the company's extensive experience in the local market and the powerful international expertise of GRAWE Group is designed to improve the quality of services provided and strengthen the reliability of insurance coverage for clients in Armenia.
As a reminder, on November 25, 2025, GRAWE Group (Austria) and C-Quadrat Investment Group (Austria) announced the acquisition of 100% of LIGA Insurance. The transaction was approved by the Central Bank of Armenia on January 30, 2026. LIGA Insurance will continue to operate in the Armenian market for the time being under the same name, but will indicate that it is a member of GRAWE Group. 75% of the shares are owned by "GRAWE Reinsurance Limited" LLC holding and 25% by "CQ Investment Group" LLC.

The dominant volume of premiums in the portfolio of IC "LIGA Insurance" falls on compulsory motor third-party liability insurance (over 48% of the total volume), medical insurance (almost 21%), property insurance (over 11%) and CASCO (over 9%). IC "LIGA Insurance" is one of the most active participants in the agricultural risk insurance program, having approximately 10 thousand active contracts for this class as of the reporting date. In total, IC "LIGA Insurance" is licensed for 15 insurance classes, including financial damage and credit risk (occupying one of the leading positions in terms of collected premiums).
