ArmInfo.  German KfW Bank will  additionally provide Armenia with a grant of 550 thousand euros to  conduct research on the project for the construction of a  high-voltage power transmission line Armenia-Georgia. At the June 11  sitting, the Government of the Republic of Armenia approved a  corresponding agreement with the bank for signing.

ArmInfo.Armenia's Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan at a meeting with Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh noted that construction of the third power  transmission line between the two countries will be completed this  year, which will make it possible to fully use the capabilities of  the Armenian-Iranian gas pipeline, increasing several times volumes  of gas imported into Armenia and electricity in Iran.

ArmInfo.The Government of Armenia made a decision on exemption of High Voltage Electric Networks CJSC according to the results of 2018 from dividends payable  to the state budget in the amount of 1,240,547.0 thousand drams. This  is stated in the certificate - justification of the draft decision of  the Government of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Negotiations with the Russian Federation on gas prices for Armenia will enter the active phase from February 2020.  Chairman of the Public Services  Regulatory Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia Garegin  Baghramyan informed this to journalists on December 25.

In 2020, the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of the  Republic of Armenia intends to implement a number of legislative  initiatives that will allow fully liberalize the energy market of the  Republic of Armenia by 2023-2024. ArmInfo.Armenia is in talks with Turkmenistan to purchase gas. Mikayel Melkumyan, Chair of the Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration of the  National Assembly of the RA announced this at a press conference in  Yerevan on December 18.

ArmInfo. The construction of a 400-kilovolt Iran-Armenia power transmission line will be completed before the end of the year. This was announced to  journalists on December 10 by the Minister of Territorial  Administration and Infrastructures Suren Papikyan.
