ArmInfo. Yerevan. Implemented at the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant program to extend the life of the second power unit will increase production of electricity from this generation facility by 10%. At the same time, the share of nuclear power in the total volume of electricity produced in the country in 2020-2021 will reach 40-42% against 33% at present. Transformers are  supplied to replace exhausted resources. They are designed to  increase the input voltage and transmit electrical energy to the  power system during operation of the turbogenerator.

ArmInfo. On December 10, JSC "Rusatom Service" completed the delivery of the first of two turbogenerators for the Armenian NPP. Transportation of equipment from the manufacturer in St. Petersburg took place in two stages - by sea to the port of Poti (Georgia) and from there - by land transport to the site of the Armenian NPP.

The Director General of the Scientific Research Institute , Professor Vahram Petrosyan, stated this on October 27 at the press conference in Yerevan.
