ArmInfo. In order to develop National Polytechnic University of Armenia (NPUA) Rostelecom Company signed a memorandum of cooperation with NPUA Fund, the company's press-service informed ArmInfo.

ArmInfo. Rostelecom to hold a scientific contest within the participation of  the students of Armenian National University on  Architecture and Construction.  According to the information shared with Arminfo at Rostelecom press office, the topics of the contest will be the Digital and Analog based Electronics, and Telecommunication and Remote Operating According to the source, applicants wishing to participate should submit their scientific projects and articles to the  IT Research  Department of the University.

ArmInfo. According to  the  Government press-office information,  on March 9 Prime-Minister Karen  Karapetyan visited Synopsis Armenia and Volo companies.  Karen  Karapetyan learned current and perspective projects of the leading  company in IT field- Synopsis Armenia, as well as about  its  initiatives on developing branches. The leading staff of the company  presented details related to forming program, which is being  accomplished based on collaboration with a number of Institutions of  Higher Education, which leads to integration of young employees.  Achievements of Synopsis Armenia, as well as appropriate plans,  were  presented to Karen Karapetyan  at the production department of the  company. Having a talk with employees and students, the  Prime-Minister encouraged new approaches and ideas implementation.  The Head of the Governement emphasized the importance of development  of IT field, suggesting to present a  complex program of the company  development to the Government review , fixing the responsibilities of  the Government and private sector. The discussion of the program is  planned soon at the Ministers Cabinet.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Ministry  of Agriculture is preparing a program to support the farm enterprises  by leasing out agricultural equipment, Armenian Minister of  Agriculture Ignaty Arakelyan said following the Government's sitting  on Feb 2, when replying to ArmInfo's question.

ArmInfo. Anelik Bank CJSC announces a successful completion of additional share emission. The complete new stock of 405.511 shares was placed through closed subscription. The Bank has attracted a new shareholder and increased its share capital by AMD 21.8 billion, the press- service of the bank informs. As a result the bank's total capital increased to 36.7 bln drams (from previous 14.9 bln drams as of October 1). These shares were purchased by Cyprus FISTOCO LTD, the share of which in the bank's capital totals 59.68%, as a result the share of previously sole shareholder Lebanese Bank CreditBank S.A.L decreased from 100% to 40.32%. Tarek J. Khalefe (CreditBank S.A.L) and Vartan Dilanyan (FISTOCO LTD) are indirect majority shareholders.

The former director of the company Levon Altunyan, who was heading the company since the first days of its operation has been appointed Minister of Healthcare by presidential decree from September 27. Arevshat Meliksetyan was appointed on the position on October 5 by the decision of the INGO Armenia CSJC Board, the press-service of the company informs.

ArmInfo. Computer literacy improvement training for the older generation finished on July 1. The training was held in Yerevan branch of Russian Economic University named after Plekhanov within "ABC on Internet" program.  The press-service of Rostelecom Armenia informed ArmInfo that this time the group consisted of 16 participants aged between 67 and 70 who received certificates upon the termination of the course. Last year the group consisted of 12 participants.
