ArmInfo.A top rating agency Fitch has reaffirmed the Long-Term Foreign-Currency Issuer Default Rating (IDR) of Ardshinbank at “B+” with Stable Outlook.

ArmInfo.On March 29 Fitch Ratings has affirmed ACBA- Credit Agricole Bank CJSC's (ACBA) and Ardshinbank's (Ardshin) Long-Term Foreign- Currency Issuer Default  Ratings (IDRs) at 'B+' with Stable Outlooks.  Fitch informs, noting  in the report that the IDRs and senior debt ratings of both banks are  driven by their intrinsic strength, as captured by their 'b+'  Viability Ratings (VRs).

"It should be conveyed to clients that we cannot expect further extension of the terms of the amnesty of fines and penalties for bad loans, otherwise it will  be an incorrect message to the population," Executive Director of the  Union of Banks of Armenia Seyran Sargsian told ArmInfo  correspondent.

ArmInfo.  In the banking system of Armenia, the concentration of assets among the top five increased over 2013-2018 from 47.7% to 55.3%, although it decreased compared to  2017 by 0.1%.  Among the main assets are Ameriabank, Ardshinbank,  Armbusinessbank, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and INECOBANK.

ArmInfo. Within the framework of the amnesty of fines and penalties on bad loans from June 2018, Armenian banks have forgiven the obligations of 19,000 individuals in  total amounting to 9.5 billion AMD. This was reported to ArmInfo in  the press service of the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA).

ArmInfo.In Ardshinbank, loans secured by gold are available at an interest rate starting from  0.75%, and these loans are granted for consumer and agricultural  needs.  The press service of the bank told ArmInfo that loans secured  by gold are issued both in drams and in US dollars at an interest  rate of 2-5% (the annual actual rate is 7.67-24%).

ArmInfo. According to the Central Bank of Armenia, by the end of 2018, the total volume of agricultural loans amounted to 136.2 billion drams ($ 282 million),  having increased by 3.6% over the past year.

ArmInfo. VTB Bank (Armenia) for 2018 granted amnesty to fines and penalties to individual customers for a total amount of up to 3 billion drams. As the press  service of VTB Bank (Armenia) told ArmInfo, as a result, in 2018,  fines and penalties for more than 4,600 loans of 4,000 customers were  written off.

ArmInfo. In 2018, the banking system of Armenia increased tax payments to the state  treasury by 21.2% to 48.6 billion drams ($ 100.5 million). Of this  amount, 91% or 44.2 billion drams were paid in direct taxes, with a  y-o-y growth of 23.8%.

ArmInfo. Ardshinbank offers a new type of international bank transfer - Card2Card service.  According to the press service of the bank, the new service, which is available 24/7, is a transfer from card to card both in Armenia and abroad.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the number of plastic cards increased in 2018 by 18% to 2,024 million units, against a 9.2% increase in 2017. The y-o-y growth of the total volume  of plastic transactions to 22.6% in 2018 from 11.8% in 2017 to 1.933  trillion drams has accelerated adequately. This is evidenced by the  data of the Central Bank of Armenia.

ArmInfo.Ardshinbank has signed a $35 million one-year Club Trade Finance Facility arranged by Citi with Asian Development Bank (ADB). This is the second Club deal between Ardshinbank (Bank), Citi and ADB, which clearly indicates the success of previous loan and matured partnership.

ArmInfo.The banking system assets of Armenia accelerated growth in 2018, to 14% from 6.4% in 2017, reaching 4.964 trillion drams ($ 10.3 billion). According to  the Express Ranking of Armenian banks prepared by ArmInfo, in their  structure, credit investments and other loans crossed the mark of 3  trillion drams ($ 6.3 billion), with the acceleration of y-o-y growth  from 4% in 2017 to 19.2% in 2018.

ArmInfo.The banking system of Armenia increased its net profit in 2018 by 78.7% to 62.2 billion drams ($ 128.6 million), against a relatively modest growth in 2017  by 15.6%.
