ArmInfo. It is difficult to classify what is happening in the non-cash payments market of Armenia. Apparently, the system has encountered what is commonly called a complete lack of professionalism and an unprecedented indifferent attitude to what is happening on the part of the Central Bank, the management of the Armenian Card National Payment System itself and other government agencies for the country's financial market. In the last few months, the system has been constantly shaking, payments are not going through, serious failures are occurring, and the public is becoming a victim of all this confusion.

ArmInfo. In Armenia's foreign trade, transactions with precious metals and stones have been declining since 2025, amounting to 24% ($2.7 billion) in total volume over 7 months against 59.4% ($11.7 billion) a year ago. This category of goods played a decisive role in the deterioration of the annual dynamics of the country's foreign trade turnover, which fell from a significant 95% growth to a significant 42% decline. Thus, according to the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia, in January-July 2025, the share of imports and exports of precious metals and stones in total trade fell to 18.1% and 33.2%, respectively, while in the same period last year it was 52% and 69%. In terms of volume, during the reporting period, these products were imported for $1.3 billion and exported for $1.5 billion: over the year, their imports fell by 77.5%, and exports - by 75.7%.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, economic activity growth in January-July 2025 slowed down to 7.1% per annum (from 9.6% in the same period of 2024). Moreover, the industrial sector, which was one of the growth drivers a year earlier, is weakening the pace of economic growth with the current decline. According to the final data of the RA Statistical Committee, this is accompanied by a reversal in the dynamics of foreign trade from significant growth to a significant decline. According to statistics, the slowdown in economic activity growth in January-July 2025 was largely due to the deterioration in the annual dynamics of the industrial sector from 15.7% growth to 9.8% decline and a strong slowdown in the growth of the trade sector from 21.4% to 4.2%. A noticeable increase in growth is noted in the energy complex - from 2.8% to 5.6%. At the same time, the service sector managed to accelerate in annual growth from 4.5% to 10.6%, which was also noted at a more pronounced pace in the construction sector - from 16.1% to 20.2%. There is no data on the agricultural sector, since the Statistical Committee indicates them only in quarterly and annual reports.
