ArmInfo. The comparative calm in the first months of 2025 on the mortgage lending market in Armenia was a consequence of the so-called progressive growth in December.  In an interview with an ArmInfo correspondent, experts explained the  strong influx of people wishing to take out a mortgage before the end of 2024 by the fact that the tax deduction mechanism for these loans will be canceled from 2025. In fact, as they explained, everyone who managed to get a mortgage loan before the current year will have the opportunity to use the preferential mechanism.

ArmInfo. At the annual general meeting, Acba Bank shareholders decided to allocate 6.584 billion drams or 1100 drams per share from the net profit of 28.8 billion drams received in 2024 to pay dividends. This was noted in the  statement of Acba Bank published on June 18.  According to the decision on the payment of dividends, the payments should be completed on June 20, 2025.

ArmInfo. The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia reports that the issue of temporarily suspending the passage of Armenian trucks through the Armenian-Georgian border due to the accumulation of goods at Georgian customs offices in recent days has been resolved. In particular, this concerned the accumulation of trucks with Armenian bottled brandy.

ArmInfo. The Tashir Group of Companies, owned by billionaire Samvel Karapetyan, who is currently under investigation in Armenia, sees no risks for its business in Russia and continues its work, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the group's Telegram channel. The Investigative Committee of Armenia has accused Karapetyan of inciting the seizure of power; he has been detained and does not admit his guilt.

ArmInfo. Armenia has proposed to the Georgian side a mechanism for work together to conduct an examination of cognac products that are under suspicion. Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan announced this  during the government session in Parliament, while responding to questions from deputies.

ArmInfo. In the upcoming year and a half, as we approach the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity (COP17) in Yerevan, Armenia must demonstrate its leadership in biodiversity conservation across all sectors of the economy  at various venues and forums, as stated by the UN Permanent  Representative to Armenia, Francoise Jacob, during the HIF Yerevan 2025 Hospitality Investment Forum, emphasizing the importance of the hospitality sector in supporting this.

ArmInfo. The Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia is trying to solve the problem of residents of the regions of Armenia bordering Azerbaijan who cannot take advantage of the housing purchase program. This was stated by the Chairman of the Central Bank Martyn Galstyan in the National Assembly  of the Republic of Armenia on June 18, answering a question from the MP from the opposition faction "Armenia" Gegham Nazaryan.

ArmInfo.The Central Bank of Armenia has revised its GDP growth forecast for 2025 from the previous range of 7-4.5% to a new range of 5.1-4.6% (compared to the actual 5.9% growth in 2024). The Central Bank has also adjusted its GDP growth forecast for 2026, now anticipating a slowdown to 4.9-4.4%, instead of the previous 4.7-7% (depending on the inflation trajectory).
