ArmInfo. In January-April 2025, the industrial sector of Armenia reduced production by 16.1% (against 26.1% growth a year ago) - to 812.3 billion drams (over $ 2.1 billion). Such dynamics were due to a double-digit decline in the manufacturing industry and the still sagging mining industry. According to the Statistical Committee, in April alone, industrial production was also in decline - by 3.9% to 212.4 billion drams ($ 543.7 million).

ArmInfo.  The metallurgical industry of Armenia in January-April 2025 reduced production volumes by 23% per annum (against 24% growth a year ago). This is evidenced  by the data of the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Thus, according to the RA Statistical Committee, 1.8 million liters of wine were produced in January-April 2025, which is 38.8% lower than the same period last year. At the same time, the volume of sparkling wine (champagne) decreased by 28%  year-on-year to 283.1 thousand liters.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, electricity generation in January-April 2025 increased by 4.9% per annum (against a 1.8% increase a year ago), amounting to 3,333.6 million kWh. At the same time, in April alone, electricity generation decreased by 15.5% - to 708 million kWh. This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo. Income tax refund within the framework of mortgage lending in Armenia is projected to peak in  2026, surpassing 100 billion drams. Following this peak,  a slowdown is expected to occur, as stated by Eduard Hakobyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), on June 9 during a joint meeting of  the standing parliamentary committees while discussing the annual report <On the Execution of the State Budget of the Republic of Armenia in 2024>.

ArmInfo.EU has updated its airspace "blacklist". Along with air carriers from Afghanistan, Tanzania, Suriname, European skies remain "closed" for Armenian airlines, AeroTime reports. According to the source, on June  3, 2025, the European Commission (EC) updated its no-fly list, banning airlines from certain countries from European airspace for safety grounds.

ArmInfo.  Gold re-export does not significantly contribute to GDP, as stated by Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan in parliament on June 9.  To support his  argument, the Minister presented export volumes for 2023 and 2024, both with and without gold re-export. According to him, in 2023, total export deliveries were 8.5 billion drams, while excluding re-export - 6.8 billion drams. In 2024, exports reaches 13.1 billion drams, with non re-export  exports totaling 7.5 billion drams.
