ArmInfo. June 2 to 6, 2025, in Armenia's interbank foreign exchange market, USD and RUB transactions showed a decline, with no EUR transactions effected for two months. RUB transactions showed an 88.4% decline against an 8.6% growth the previous week. USD transactions showed an 8% decline against a 37% growth. The total amount of USD transactions exceeded that of RUB transactions 1.4-fold, whereas the total volume of RUB transactions exceeded that of USD ones 6-fold. |

ArmInfo. Unfortunately, in 2024, Armenia saw a significant drop in the number of tourists arriving from the EAEU. However, this decline was counterbalanced by a significant increase in tourists from the Middle East, Western Europe, China and the United States. Armenian Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan stated this in Parliament on June 5, noting that the share of Russian tourists has decreased from 50% to 39% compared to the previous year. He emphasized that this compensation helped limit the overall decrease in tourist flow to Armenia to just 4.6% over the past year. |
