ArmInfo.  Armenia is interested in deepening collaboration with Great Britain in  the  areas of joint industrial production, free economic zones, and innovative entrepreneurship, as stated by the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, during a meeting with the British Ambassador to  Armenia John Gallagher, who is concluding his mission in Armenia.

ArmInfo.  The volume of cargo transportation in Armenia in the first half of 2025 amounted to 7,580.1 thousand tons, with an annual growth of 1.9% (against a 16.8% decline a year earlier). This is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee. The growth in the total volume of cargo  transportation is due to the improvement in the dynamics of rail  freight transportation - from a 57.9% decline to a 27.6% growth, with  a volume of 735.9 thousand tons, as well as the continued growth of  air cargo transportation - by 8.7% (against 13.8% growth a year  earlier), with a volume of 18.8 thousand tons. An increase in volumes  was also recorded in the supply of natural gas via the main pipeline  - by 1.7% (against a decline of 8.2% the previous year) to 989.5  thousand tons.

ArmInfo. According to the results of the first half of 2025, the production volumes of all alcoholic beverages in Armenia decreased, with the exception of vodka, liqueur (and other strong alcoholic beverages) and beer. This  is evidenced by the data of the RA Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, electricity generation in the first half of 2025 accelerated in annual growth from 1.9% to 4%, amounting to 4,694.7 million kWh. Moreover, in June alone, electricity generation increased by 8.4% -  to 701.8 million kWh. This is evidenced by the data of the RA  Statistical Committee.

ArmInfo. The metallurgical industry of Armenia, based on the results of the first half of 2025, reversed in annual dynamics from 8% growth to 8% decline. According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, such dynamics were  provoked mainly by the reduction in the production of copper and  molybdenum concentrates.

ArmInfo.  The industrial sector of Armenia, which was one of the drivers of economic growth a year ago, fell by 12.1% in the first half of 2025 (against 18.2% growth a year earlier), providing a volume of 1.2 trillion drams ($3.2  billion). According to the data of the RA Statistical Committee, in  June alone, the industrial sector grew by 2.5% - to 227 billion drams  ($590.5 million).

ArmInfo.  Armenia notes the importance of cooperation with the World Bank in the implementation of key reforms. This was stated by RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan during a meeting with WB Regional Director for the South Caucasus Roland Preis and the newly appointed head of the Bank's  Armenian office Fabrizio Zarkone.

ArmInfo. Armenia and Georgia  are considering the possibility of establishing a joint border  crossing point (JBCP), as reported by the Asian Development Bank  (ADB), citing the results of a meeting between the Armenian and  Georgian sides, organized with the assistance of ADB.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the  growth rate of economic activity over the past 2 months has exceeded  expectations. This growth can be attributed to the construction  sector, services and tourism.  Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of  the Central Bank of Armenia, made this statement during a press  conference on August 5, while responding to a question  about whether  the growth in external demand was solely due to tourism or if there  were other contributing factors.

ArmInfo. The single operator of  Armenia's water supply and sanitation system Veolia Djur, along with  the Water Committee, will be making investments totaling around 11  billion drams, the press service of the Public Services Regulatory  Commission (PSRC) of the Republic of Armenia reports.

ArmInfo. Higher activity has  been observed in the mortgage lending market of Armenia than  expected, as stated by Armen Nurbekyan, Deputy Chairman of the  Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, during a press conference on  August 5.

ArmInfo. Tax revenues for the  state treasury of Armenia (tax revenues and state duties) in July  2025 totaled 218.6 billion drams, showing an increase of 33.5 billion  drams or 18.1% compared to July of the previous year. The Chairman of  the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Eduard Hakobyan, shared this  information on social media.

ArmInfo. Zangezur Copper and Molybdenum Combine has installed a 24-hour slope stability monitoring radar at the deposit, as noted in a message from the company on its  official Facebook page.

ArmInfo. As we previously reported, the beneficiary of “The Power of One Dram” initiative in May was the annual “Hayordi” camp, with 4,991,788 AMD raised and directed toward organizing summer recreation and educational programs for the children of fallen servicemen.

ArmInfo. In July 2025, the consumer market in Armenia experienced inflation of 3.4%, a significant increase from the  1.4%  inflation recorded in July 2024.  This rise in prices was  primarily driven  by increases in prices for  food and services. Over the first seven months of 2025, inflation  reached 0.6% (compared to last year's deflation of 1.3% in the same  period), which was also the result of higher prices for services with  slightly cheaper food and non-food products.

ArmInfo.  In Armenia, during the first half of 2025, foreign citizens conducted 1,820 transactions for the  purchase and sale of real estate, which represents a  4.7% increase from the previous year. Moreover, of the total number of  transactions, 6.8% were made by foreigners (compared to 6.4% the year  before), as evidenced by data from the State Committee of Real Estate  Cadastre of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. In Armenia, the economic growth rate in the first half of 2025 slowed down to 6.3% annually (down from 10.4% in the same period of 2024). Moreover, the industrial sector, which was one of the growth drivers the previous year, has weakened, resulting in a current double-digit decline in  overall economic growth. Final data from the RA Statistical Committee  also show  a negative shift in foreign trade trends, moving from  substantial growth to a significant decline. 

ArmInfo.  In the regions of Armenia, real estate purchase and sale transactions in the first half of 2025 were in a double-digit decline. According to the State Committee of the Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia, real estate  purchase and sale transactions in the regions during the reporting  period decreased by 11.5% per annum, and by 18.5% over the six  months, amounting to 16,940.
